"This isn't the party I planned but I sure like the company," Hillary said as she opened her concession speech at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
Speaking to the "18 million...all walks of life," who voted for her, Hillary congratulated and endorsed Barack Obama, stating:
"The way, the way to continue our fight now, to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passions, our strengths and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States."
As Hillary continues to vow to stay in the race, the pressure and calls for her to withdraw increase.
President and Superdelegate Jimmy Carter, while hinting at an Obama endorsement, told Sky News that he expects the remaining super delegates to endorse right after the last primary and "at that point [June 3], it'll be time for her to give it up."
"I'm a superdelegate ... I think a lot of the superdelegates will make a decision quite, announced quite rapidly, after the final primary on June 3," he told Sky News.
"I have not yet announced publicly, but I think at that point it will be time for her to give it up," Carter said
The progressive blogosphere and the MSM tubes and airwaves are flooded with reports on Hillary Clinton's Assassination Remark that she made while discussing staying in the race during an interview with the Argus Leader Editorial Board:
As today marked the 30th anniversary of the "War on Cancer," Elizabeth Edwards and Lance Armstrong appeared at a US Senate Committee Panel to push for a renewed fight against cancer.
Elizabeth Edwards, one of the nation's most outspoken and effective advocates for universal healthcare coverage, takes this issue very personally. A survivor of breast cancer, Elizabeth told a panel led by Senator Ted Kennedy, "...we've chosen as a nation to turn our backs on some of us who have the disease. I urge you to reform health care responsibly, morally, and aggressively."
In recent weeks, Elizabeth Edwards has been speaking out against McCain's so called health care plan.
Tonight, she appeared on Countdown with Keith Olberman where she told Keith that while she is not endorsing Hillary, she does prefer her health care plan. This should come as no surprise as Hillary's plan more closely resembles John Edwards' UHC plan, than does Obama's.
Last night, on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, John Edwards admitted to beating Obama in a game of basketball when Leno asked, "Did you kick his ass?"
The interview was generally lighthearted with Edwards responding with laughter when Leno asked about John's decision "to run as a middle aged white man."
Watch Edwards on Leno here:
It takes 2025 delegates to win. Looking at the delegate count: Obama (63), Clinton (48), and Edwards (26), this race is far from over. Millions of voters have yet to cast their votes. Their voices will be heard.
John Edwards came out this evening against the telecom immunity of the FISA bill, currently before Congress and in full support of Senator Dodd's filibuster.
